COTTAGE LOCATION

MERMAID COTTAGE

Depending on the direction of your arrival into Rye, the cottage can be accessed from either top or bottom of Mermaid Street. Please note that there are various one-way systems in operation.

We find the easiest route is to travel along Fishmarket Road and South Undercliff, taking the turning on your right into Mermaid Street from Strand Quay (which runs alongside the estuary).

Mermaid Cottage is located at the top of Mermaid Street and access into it allows easy loading upon arrival and departure.

PARKING

Long-stay parking is available at special weekly rates at the Cattle Market car park (see map 'long stay'). Charges for the week are approximately £10. Alternatively there are various short-stay car parking spaces dotted around the town, the most convenient one being located at the bottom of Mermaid Street.
